What Is Microneedling?
Microneedling is a minimally invasive procedure that involves pricking the skin in order to stimulate the production of collagen and reduce or minimize skin imperfections such as fine lines and wrinkles. Also known as collagen induction therapy, microneedling is a safe, more natural alternative to Botox and other facial rejuvenation treatments.
Technically a protein, collagen holds the body together by providing structure and support to the skin as well as to bones, muscles, cartilage and ligaments. It also works with elastin, another protein, to keep skin tight and flexible.
